A media and information literacy centre in Juba is helping people learn digital skills. It opened at Juba Day Secondary School in 2024 with UNESCO support. An October story describes how students, teachers and local people use it. One student first used a computer there in 2025. He learned to switch it on and type.
Learners also practise checking information before sharing it. Computers and internet access give them tools to explore ideas and create content. One young participant developed an idea for an emergency information app. It is a concept, not a service already helping patients. The centre shows how basic skills and careful thinking can grow together.
