Vietnamese stories can reach more readers when language barriers become smaller. At the Frankfurt Book Fair in October, Ho Chi Minh City presented nearly one hundred English-language and bilingual titles. Publishers brought works about literature, history, food and travel, alongside comics and newer creative projects. The selection helped international visitors explore Vietnamese culture directly. The city's pavilion also created opportunities for publishers to meet potential partners from other markets.
The fair ran from 7 to 11 October, but the discussions looked beyond those dates. A visiting delegation proposed placing more Vietnamese books in community libraries in Germany. It also called for greater attention to translation and suggested a future Vietnamese book fair in Frankfurt. These were proposals, not completed projects. They reflect an effort to connect overseas families with their language while introducing Vietnamese writing to a wider public.
