Six contemporary Italian films are scheduled to reach Hanoi audiences during a film week from 27 October to 1 November. The Italian Embassy is organising the programme with the Asian Film Festival in Rome. Screenings will take place at the National Cinema Centre. The selection brings together directors with different backgrounds, including both established filmmakers and newer voices. Their films offer different views of Italian society and human relationships.
Free tickets are available from 20 October at Casa Italia on Le Phung Hieu Street. Each person can request up to two tickets for a particular film. Screenings begin at half past seven in the evening, and ticket holders should arrive before a quarter past seven. The organisers will share further details through the event's official page. The programme uses cinema as a meeting point between cultures, rather than simply offering entertainment.
