For a small craft business, finding buyers can be as important as designing a good product. Hanoi Giftshow's October programme was designed to address both needs. Organisers announced five hundred booths involving 230 businesses, cooperatives and production groups for the four-day event. Alongside product displays, the programme was set to include demonstrations by artisans and discussions about design trends. Meetings on raw materials and business connections were also part of the plan.
The fair was scheduled for 8–11 October, but its support was designed to continue after the exhibition. Participating companies were to receive online promotion and help reaching buyers through domestic and international shopping platforms. This approach links face-to-face conversations with longer-term digital sales opportunities. It recognises that meeting a customer once is only a beginning. Producers also need ways to show new designs and maintain contact after visitors leave.
