A Hanoi circus production is using water and digital images to retell the Vietnamese legend of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh. Since its September premiere, the show has attracted full audiences at the Central Circus. Nearly three hundred pipes help turn the circular performance area into a water stage. About forty performers work with technical teams to combine movement, music and projected scenery into one shared story.
The creative team has used artificial intelligence to explore visual ideas before selecting and refining suitable designs. However, the director stresses that technology should support human skill and emotion rather than replace them. Careful training and precise timing remain essential for circus performers. The production shows one possible way to bring traditional stories closer to younger audiences. It also depends on cooperation between artists and technology specialists from the beginning.
