Two train services in central Vietnam have appeared in a travel magazine's list of twenty outstanding rail journeys for 2026. The Hue–Da Nang heritage train placed tenth in Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards. The Vietage by Anantara came fourteenth. The recognition highlights travel that makes the journey itself part of the holiday. Instead of rushing between destinations, passengers can watch villages, mountains and the coastline through their windows.
The heritage route takes about three hours and crosses Hai Van Pass. Two communal carriages offer traditional performances alongside spaces for quiet relaxation. The Vietage links Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Nha Trang with a different, luxury experience. Its Da Nang–Quy Nhon journey lasts roughly six hours and includes a meal combining Vietnamese and French cooking. The coastal services show how transport, scenery and local culture can work together.
