Readers of an American travel magazine have voted Boracay the second most beautiful island in Asia. The Philippine island scored 94.6 points out of 100. It moved ahead of Langkawi in Malaysia. First place went to Vietnam's Phu Quoc, with 95.26 points. Boracay is small, about 10 square kilometers, and lies more than 300 kilometers south of Manila.
The island is famous for fine white sand, clear blue water, and beautiful sunsets. Visitors enjoy sunset sailing on traditional boats, diving, and kayaking in clear-bottom kayaks. Willy's Rock, a volcanic rock just off White Beach, is a well-known sight. The magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, asked readers about cities, islands, hotels, and airlines. More than 798,000 readers took part in the survey.
