Malaysia's passport is now the second most powerful in the world. It shares second place with Singapore in the 2026 Passport Index ranking. The United Arab Emirates stays in first place. Malaysians can now visit 175 destinations without getting a visa before the trip. Of these, 129 are visa-free.
The other 46 places give a visa on arrival. The ranking counts how many places travelers can enter this way. Spain is third on the list. Sixteen countries share fourth place, including Japan, France, and Germany. Another ranking, the Henley Passport Index, uses a different method. There, Malaysia is seventh in the world.
