Phu Quoc has already passed its tourism goal for the whole year. The island welcomed 8.57 million visitors in the first nine months. That is 30 percent more than in the same period last year. Its target for all of 2026 was 8.5 million. About 1.92 million of the visitors came from other countries.
Readers of a travel magazine voted it Asia's most beautiful island. Easier visa rules and more direct flights are helping. The first direct flight from Russia landed on September 27. It carried more than 370 tourists. The island now offers fun from morning until night. Visitors can enjoy a safari park, a night market, and fireworks.
