Four high school students in Pennsylvania stopped a moving school bus. The driver had a medical emergency on the ride home on September 17. His head began to drop, and the bus kept going straight. A tenth-grade girl ran to the driver's seat. She pushed the gear shifter up and held the foot brake down.
Another student pulled the parking brake and opened the doors. One boy called the bus company on the radio. A girl phoned 911 for help. The students said a health teacher had taught them how to act in an emergency. The driver has since recovered and returned to his regular route.
