A Vietnamese student is among the world's top three in a big Chinese-language contest. Do Tue Anh, 18, studies in grade 12 in Lang Son Province. She also became the Asian champion at the Chinese Bridge competition. She competed against 124 students from about 100 countries and territories. The contest lasted about two weeks in Tianjin, China.
Tue Anh's love of Chinese began early. As a little girl, she watched a TV series with her grandparents. She began to study it seriously in ninth grade. Pronunciation was the hardest part at first. She practiced speaking with friends and used AI tools to correct her mistakes. During the contest, she even studied on the bus.
