A 16-year-old rock singer from Thailand has won a famous American talent show. Nene Royal took home the one-million-dollar prize on "America's Got Talent". She is the first Thai winner of the show. In her final performance, she played guitar and sang with the band Linkin Park. She fell to the stage floor when her win was announced.
Nene comes from the island of Phuket. She started playing guitar at age seven. She learned mostly by watching online videos. Later, she got a music scholarship to an international school. Her schoolmates and teachers watched the final together and cheered for her. The prime minister of Thailand also sent his congratulations.
