London Heathrow stays one of the busiest airports on Earth. It is the world's second-busiest international hub, after Incheon. In eight months, it served 55.7 million passengers. The number is slightly lower than the same period last year. In August alone, 7.8 million people passed through the airport.
Travel there is still quite smooth for most people. About 98 percent of passengers waited under five minutes at security. Almost all bags left on the planned flights too. Its two runways are nearly full, so the airport wants a third one. The plan could raise its capacity to 150 million passengers a year.
