Viet Nam's Prime Minister Le Minh Hung met leaders of two large Indian companies in New Delhi on September 12. He invited them to invest more in clean energy, high technology, green industry and infrastructure. One company, ACME, has built renewable energy projects of more than 8GW in India. It has also signed an early agreement with a Vietnamese partner on materials for green steel.
The other company, GMR, develops and runs airports. Its chairman said the group wants to join airport projects in Viet Nam. The country plans to build a network of 36 airports by 2030. The Prime Minister asked both companies to transfer technology and train local workers. He said Viet Nam is changing its investment law to welcome projects with advanced technology and higher value.
