Two new satellites from Europe will fly into space together this month. The FLEX satellite and the Sentinel-3C satellite will launch on a Vega-C rocket. The launch is planned for 15 September from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana. FLEX will study the health of plants on Earth. It can see a weak light that plants give off when they make food.
Sentinel-3C is the third satellite in its family. It will watch the oceans, land, ice and air around our planet. Scientists will use this information for weather reports and ocean forecasts. The Vega-C rocket can carry 2,300 kilograms into space. The mission shows how Europe wants to observe our changing planet.
