The World Health Organization has joined a large service club foundation to widen mental health care in Jordan and Nepal. The three-year plan will run until the end of 2028. In East Amman, planners want new counselling rooms close to the families who need them. A public hospital there will handle urgent cases for both children and adults.
Nepal will open quiet corners for support inside ten district hospitals. Schools will also receive stronger programmes under a national framework. The work reaches families who once travelled far for care. Trained staff will also visit schools during the first year. Both partners hope that steady contact will reduce the stigma that keeps people silent. Officials believe patients ask for help sooner when services feel familiar and close by.
