Khanh Hoa and Quang Tri, two provinces in central Vietnam, signed a cooperation agreement on August 17, 2026. The deal covers tourism, culture, and sports activities planned for the period 2026 to 2030. Officials want to link Khanh Hoa's well-known beaches with Quang Tri's impressive cave systems. They aim to create new travel routes. The partnership also aims to attract Russian and South Korean tourists, along with cruise passengers visiting the region.
Both provinces pledged to encourage businesses to design tours connecting their destinations. They will also hold joint art performances, exhibitions, and book fairs during major events. To support the partnership, Sun PhuQuoc Airways launched a new air route between Cam Ranh and Dong Hoi on August 16. It directly links the two provinces. Officials stressed that the priority is to develop concrete products. These products must create tangible benefits for residents, businesses, and tourists across both areas.
