Air defence and air force units began a large exercise in central Vietnam on Tuesday morning. Ground crews rolled fighter jets out of their hangars. Lieutenant General Vu Hong Son directed the event. Radio teams tested links between the units. Officers say the pace of modern drills keeps rising. The exercise runs for three days, from Tuesday to Thursday.
Staff officers work with maps to plan and organise each stage. Crews also carry out tasks in the field. Medical staff stay close to the flight line. The drill prepares them for wider exercises with the military region. Commanders repeat that daily training decides the result. The units end each day with a short review. Troops move with their personal gear and weapons into the practice area.
