Syria had a war for more than ten years. Many people died and millions lost their homes. Buildings fell down and roads broke. Now Syrian communities are cleaning up the rubble together. A UN worker visited Syria. She saw people working hard to clear the streets.
The UN helps communities remove 570,000 tonnes of debris in four cities. Over 1,300 people work to clean rubble and earn money. One woman in Aleppo now has income. She can buy food and medicine for her family. Her children go back to school. After cleaning, people rebuilt a park. Children can play safely again.
