A special pen once owned by Lee Kuan Yew sold for $360,000 in Singapore. The silver fountain pen had his name carved on it. It was sold online on August 16, 2026. Exactly 111 people tried to buy it. The auction house thought it would sell for about $50,000. The final price was almost ten times higher.
Lee Kuan Yew was Singapore's first leader. He led the country from 1959 to 1990. The pen has his title "Senior Minister" engraved on it. He used that title after he stopped being prime minister. The pen was first sold in 2003 for $52,000. That sale raised money to help teenage girls. Lee died in 2015 at age 91.
