House prices in South Korea have gone up for thirteen months in a row. Young people find it very hard to buy homes now. The government wants to help them. It will build more than 230,000 new homes in the Seoul area. The president said house prices are now a serious problem for families.
The government will make it easier for young buyers to get loans. People under 40 can borrow more money at lower rates. Newly married couples will keep special loan benefits after their wedding. Officers will also speed up building on public land. They want to start building new housing areas in 37 months instead of 68 months.
