The World Health Organization and South Korea have worked together for more than 75 years. South Korea used to receive help from other countries. Now it gives help to nations around the world. South Korea has become a strong leader in global health. The country plays an important role in world health today.
In August 2024, WHO and South Korea held their second big meeting in Seoul. Dr Catharina Boehme led the WHO team. Dr Hye-Jin Kim led the Korean team. Senior officials from different departments joined the talks. They discussed global health challenges for two days. The meeting helped both sides work better together.
